Where to Get Brake Rotors Turned Near Me
Introduction: Brake
The process of building brake in Solidworks.
Step 1: Brake Arm - Jingyi
- Sketch a rectangle on front plane, and sketch an arc perpendicular to the rectangle. Then, sweep the rectangle along the arc as path.
- Create a plane parallel with the front plane. Sketch a rectangle on this plane, and loft it with the final plane sweeped after step 1. Fillet the combination of these two parts.
- Sketch a half circle on both top and bottom, and then extrude them to cut the arm.
- Create a plane parallel with the right plane. Sketch a rectangle on this plane, and extrude it into the arm, and combine them. Fillet the combination part.
Step 2: Fastener for Brake Cradle and Arm - Jingyi & Chengfeng
- Sketch two circles. Boss extrude the part between them.
Step 3: Cable - Jingyi
- Sketch a circle. Boss extrude it.
Step 4: Fastener at Bottom - Jingyi
- Sketch two circles. Boss extrude the part between them.
Step 5: Fastener for Brake Shoe - Jingyi
- Sketch a rectangle, and a circle inside it. Extrude the part between them.
- Fillet top right and bottom right corners.
Step 6: Tube - Jingyi
- Sketch two circles on the front plane. Sketch two straight lines perpendicular with each other on top plane. One of the lines started from the center of the circles.
- Fillet the two straight lines.
- Sweep the part between two circles along the filleted line as path.
Step 7: Top Tube - Jingyi
- Sketch two circles. Boss extrude the part between them.
Step 8: Ring for Tube - Jingyi
- Sketch two circles. Boss extrude the part between them.
Step 9: Cradle - Yuting & Chengfeng
- Sketch a region bounded by three lines and an arc on the front plane. Then, extrude the region.
- Sketch a rectangle and a circle on the right plane, then extrude the part between them.
- Create a reference plane that parallel to the front plane, then sketch a region bounded by three lines and an arc on the reference plane, then extrude it.
Step 10: Brake Pads - Yuting
- Sketch a rectangle on the front plane, then extrude the rectangle.
- Use fillet to round the left and right sides of the rectangle solid.
- Sketch a circle on the front plane, then extrude the circle to create a solid tubing.
Step 11: Fastener for Brake Cable and Arm - Chengfeng
- Sketch a rectangle, an arc and a circle on the front plane, then extrude the part between them.
- Sketch lines and arcs on the back of the previous extruded part, then extrude it.
- Sketch a rectangle, an arc and a circle again on the back of the second extruded part, then extrude this part.
- Sketch a circle on the left plane, then extrude cut it.
- Sketch a circle which is similar to the previous circle on the right plane, then extrude the circle.
Step 12: Brake #2 Assembly - Jingyi & Chengfeng
Mate process:
- Insert Brake Arm and the Fastener for Brake Shoe. Coincident the vertical right front edge of Arm and the vertical right hind edge of Fastener.
- Coincident the vertical front face of Arm and vertical hind face of Fastener.
- Coincident the lower horizontal edge of Fastener and lower horizontal edge of Arm.
Step 13: Brakeleft Assembly - Chengfeng
Mate process:
- Insert the Tube and Top Tube, and concentric Top Tube with top of the Tube.
- Insert the Ring for Tube, and concentric it with bottom of the Tube.
- Insert the Cradle, and coincident its edge of the hole and the outer edge of Ring for Tube.
- Insert the Fastener for Brake Pad and Brake Arm, rotate the Arm to the same position as the left Arm in the above image is, and coincident the largest rectangular face of Fastener with the hind face of Arm.
- Coincident the vertical outer edge of Fastener and the vertical edge of left Arm.
- Coincident the horizontal lower edge of both Fastener and left Arm.
- Insert the Brake Pad, concentric the hole of Fastener and the cylinder of the Pad.
- Insert the Fastener for Brake Cradle and Arm, coincident its outer edge with the edge of the half circle on top of the left Arm.
- Coincident the inner edge of the Ring for Tube with the outer edge of bottom of the Tube.
- Coincident the inner top edge of Top Tube and outer top edge of Tube.
- Concentric the arc at the tail of Cradle and the top Fastener.
- Coincident the outer arc at the tail of Cradle with the outer edge of top Fastener.
- Insert the Cable, and concentric it with bottom of the Tube.
- Insert the two 91274A162 Screws and two Fastener at Bottom, and concentric one of each of them for left Arm.
- Coincident the face below the head of the Screw and the flat face of Fastener from the concentric pair in Step 14.
- Concentric the other 91274A162 Screw and Fastener at Bottom.
- Coincident the face below the head of the Screw and the flat face of Fastener from the concentric pair in Step 16.
- Concentric the bottom arc of the left Arm and one of the Fastener at Bottom.
- Create a tangent mate between the bottom hind face of left Arm and lower edge of Screw head.
- Concentric the bottom arc of the right Arm and the other Fastener at Bottom.
- Create a tangent mate between the bottom hind face of left Arm and lower edge of Screw head.
- Insert 91287A163_18-8 STAINLESS STEEL HEX HEAD CAP SCREW and Fastener for Brake Cable and Arm, then create a concentric mate between the top right Fastener and the stainless steel hex head cap screw.
- Create a coincident mate between the front face of the top right fastener and the lower face of the stainless steel hex head cap screw.
- Insert 90710A038_TYPE 18-8 SS THIN HEX NUT, then create a concentric mate between the face of the 91287A163 stainless steel hex head cap screw and the edge of the 90710A038 SS THIN hex nut.
- Create a coincident mate between the face of the fastener and the face of of the 90710A038 SS THIN hex nut.
- Insert 91287A163_18-8 STAINLESS STEEL HEX HEAD CAP SCREW, then create a concentric mate between the face of the left 91287A163 hex nut and the face of the top left fastener.
